Look, we've got the history thing down - built in 1847, original forge and all that good stuff. But here's where it gets interesting: we actually let you get your hands dirty.
Ever wanted to hammer out your own iron hook? Shape clay on a pottery wheel? Our working artisan workshops aren't just for show - they're the real deal, taught by folks who've been doing this for years. And after you're done playing blacksmith or potter, there's a proper spa waiting to work out those new muscles you just discovered.
See What We're AboutOur spa's gotten some attention lately - won't brag too much, but let's just say people drive up from Toronto just for our hot stone treatments. We use local ingredients where we can, and yeah, that includes the mineral-rich clay from right here in Niagara.
Rooms that actually feel different from each other. Some have exposed brick from the original forge, others overlook the gardens. All of 'em have seriously comfortable beds though.
Three treatment rooms, a sauna that fits six people comfortably, and massage therapists who know what they're doing. Book ahead on weekends.
Blacksmithing, pottery, woodworking, even some leatherwork. You'll leave with something you made yourself - might be a bit rough around the edges, but it's yours.
Chef Sarah sources from farms within 30 miles. Menu changes with what's actually in season. The roasted root vegetables are kind of legendary around here.
Got three rooms that work for meetings or small weddings. The Forge Hall's got the original vaulted ceiling and can seat about 80 people for dinner.
David runs these most days - he's been studying local history for decades and knows where all the good stories are buried. Tours run about 90 minutes.
Breakfast comes with the room, and honestly, it's where Chef Sarah shows off a bit. Fresh-baked bread daily, eggs from a farm 10 minutes down the road, and coffee that'll wake you up properly. Dinner reservations fill up fast on weekends - just saying.
We're about 15 minutes from the falls - close enough to visit, far enough to actually sleep at night. The town's got some excellent wineries, antique shops if you're into that, and the Shaw Festival Theatre's practically next door.
Parking's free and we've got an EV charging station out back. Toronto's about an hour and a half if traffic's behaving.

Give us a call or shoot us an email. We're pretty good at getting back to people quickly, and we can answer whatever questions you've got about rooms, workshops, or that time someone tried to forge a sword (spoiler: didn't work out).
