Look, we could've been just another hotel. But where's the fun in that? Here at Quanttyra Forge, you're gonna actually make something cool - forge a blade, shape clay, or craft leather goods alongside artisans who've been doing this for decades.
Back in 2018, we found this old forge building that'd been sitting empty for like thirty years. The previous owner's grandson showed us photos from the 1920s - blacksmiths, leather workers, all these craftspeople making stuff by hand.
It hit us that people today barely get to do that anymore. Everything's mass-produced, ordered online, delivered in two days. But there's something about heating metal till it glows orange and hammering it into shape with your own two hands - it connects you to history in a way that's hard to explain.
So we brought back the workshops. Real artisans teaching real skills. And honestly? It's become the main reason folks come visit us.
Each session runs about 3-4 hours. You'll leave with something you actually made yourself.
You're gonna forge your own knife from raw steel. Master blacksmith Thomas walks you through heating, shaping, and tempering. Yeah, it gets hot and loud, but that's kinda the point. You'll wear protective gear and learn techniques that haven't changed much since the 1800s.

Ever seen that movie scene where they're making pottery? It's way harder than it looks. But ceramicist Maria's got the patience of a saint and she'll guide you through throwing a bowl or vase on the wheel. We'll fire and glaze it, then ship it to you in about two weeks once it's ready.

Make a leather wallet, belt, or journal cover from premium hides. Rachel's been working with leather for over 20 years and she'll teach you proper stitching, edge finishing, and stamping techniques. It's surprisingly meditative once you get into the rhythm of it.

Our woodworker James sources local Ontario hardwoods and he's really passionate about grain patterns (maybe too passionate, but in a good way). You'll learn chisel techniques and proper finishing methods.

Got a crew of 8 or more? We can set up private sessions for corporate team building, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or family reunions. Yeah, it's way more memorable than another escape room.
